Indian Point Parking Lot Expansion

Our Environmental Scientists successfully obtained a Section 10/404 permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District for the expansion of the parking lot at the Indian Point Park and Pavilion in Portland, Texas. The project required a wetland delineation and jurisdictional determination for the parking lot expansion area for development a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit application to authorize impacts to waters of the U.S. Due to the type of habitat within the project area, an Eastern Black Rail survey was required to comply with Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act. Due to their agency coordination efforts, they were able to get agency agreement to only need informal Section 7 consultation and were able to obtain the federal permit. Our biologists led the Eastern Black Rail survey in the field per U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service survey protocol and provided the subsequent reporting.
